ESS - Sustainability in healthcare - an update/insights for medical writers

1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

There is growing motivation among the healthcare community to reduce the negative environmental impacts of healthcare. As medical writers, embedded in healthcare – from protocol to publication to patient brochure – we are part of this change.

A health system that is socially, environmentally, and financially sustainable requires sustainable practices throughout. In this Expert Seminar Series (ESS), we will hear from experts working in biopharmaceutical and clinical research organisations, academia, and public health. They will share their perspectives on how to drive sustainable changes in healthcare throughout drug development and into daily practice.

Our experts will discuss the impacts of new EU legislation updates on the sustainability of clinical trials, detail sustainability commitments of the pharmaceutical industry, and describe how sustainability measures can help weather the challenges that climate change poses to public health institutions.

This ESS will provide valuable insights into sustainability in healthcare and help medical writing professionals identify how they can support clients and collaborators to foster a sustainable future for healthcare.

Non EMWA members can register to attend this ESS here.
