The presentation aims to investigate the profile and skills of medical translators – what it takes to be one and what the various routes into the profession are – as well as the challenges faced by translators and how to overcome them. We will also examine the tools and resources needed, and will address the thorny issue of the future of medical translation in the world of artificial intelligence (AI). In the final part of the presentation, we will look at some recommendations for better communication and collaboration between translators and clients.
