Maria Almeida, MrPharmS, PharmD, is based in Lisbon, Portugal and has been working
as a freelance medical writer since 2009. She is specialised in medical communications, within a wide range of therapeutics areas and has been working with med comms agencies across the globe. She is currently working as a senior principal scientific communications specialist. Current workshop leader at the EMWA. Maria has been the EMWA Public Relation Officer from 2017-2023 and is the President and one of the co-founder of the Portuguese Medical Writers Association (APMW).
